Justin Melander

Justin Melander is the SVP of Human Resources at First Washington. He is a key member of the leadership team and oversees the people strategy and ensures the business needs translate into HR initiatives improving performance, profitability, growth, culture, and employee engagement.

Justin has had a distinctive and progressive career in Human Resources with over 18+ years of experience with large, mid-size, and small companies. He began his career with Lend Lease, Inc. in New York and has held HR leadership roles within the financial industry in the Washington DC area.

Justin received his bachelor’s degree from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va. He also holds a Strategic HR Leadership certification from Cornell University.
